This is what happened to me in a night club last year for being gay, its was some of the local rugby team that did this. I do think that gay people make “straight” people question their own sexuality and the majority of the time makes them feel uncomfortable and lash out. Homophobia is NOT cool. Violence is certainly NOT cool either. If you see homophobia happening help stop it.
The other day I was riding on the van to the airport from Express Jet training center. One of the new hire pilots hopped in the van and sat down right on the seat belt buckle. He started making comments like “I don’t know how they do that.” and some how San Fransisco came into the conversation. He said he would never go there because of who is the majority population there.
At that point I almost said something but I held back and didn’t say a thing. I feel bad for not standing up against the homophobic comments.
